I can’t believe it is almost the first day of February, although a lot has happened already this year, the most exciting thing being Simon’s mastery of two-handed clocks! The weather is getting a little warmer and we are walking through slush not snow now, but I think winter will sneak back for a little longer yet. On one of the coldest iciest days I found some mini daffodils in Freshco and we have enjoyed our own small version of spring – a little colour in the bleak mid-winter!
Simon tells me two of his co-workers mastered clocks as well this week so it has been a special week in the West room at Arrowsmith with much celebration of their achievements. I don’t think Simon believed he would ever achieve a mastery in clocks, I believe his new mantra should be the Nelson Mandela quote “It’s impossible until it’s done”!
No Friday nighters tonight as Andrea was not well, so we have enjoyed a quiet night in, listening to Deltora Quest written by Emily Rhodda. We are approaching the end of the last series and it is so gripping that I suspect we might not venture anywhere other than Deltora and the Shadowlands this weekend!
